Event-based triggers enable you to automate the sending of an activity based on different trigger events. An event-based trigger can be set up in the user interface, so no coding knowledge is required. The combination of customizable events and the powerful target expression engine make event-based triggers highly configurable and easy to set-up.

Examples of trigger events include:

  • Being sent an activity
  • Opening an activity
  • Submitting a form
  • Subscribing to a list
  • Purchasing (when a subscriber makes a purchase on your website)
  • Abandoned (when a subscriber abandons their cart)
  • Viewed a webpage

To begin working with event-based triggers, read more on how to Set Up An Event-Based Trigger. See below for examples of event-based triggers.
