You can target subscribers by the specific asset (content block) they engaged with in an email activity.

This is useful for follow-up journeys, for example sending a reminder only to subscribers who clicked a specific product content block.

For complete predicate syntax, see the Target Expression Reference.

How to use asset targeting

When building targeting rules, select the event predicate and choose assets to scope engagement to one or more specific assets.

This works with standard event filtering (date ranges and counts), so you can stay precise even with very large engagement histories.

Example target expressions

Expression What it targets
clicked asset 12345 last 14 days Subscribers who clicked asset 12345 in the last 14 days
opened assets 12345, 67890 last 30 days Subscribers who opened messages containing either asset 12345 or 67890 in the last 30 days
clicked asset 12345 count>=2 Subscribers who clicked asset 12345 two or more times
sent activity 9001 last 14 days except clicked asset 12345 last 14 days Subscribers sent activity 9001 in the last 14 days who did not click asset 12345 (ideal for follow-up reminders)

Tip: You can combine asset targeting with other predicates (for example list membership, profile fields, or purchase criteria) to create highly specific audiences.
