I have copied text into my activity, but the font styles look different from the rest of the email or my email breaks. How come?

Most commonly this is due to pasting content from an external rich-text editor such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel or Photoshop. Sometimes the font styles get copied across depending on how you handle the formatted text.

Often junk code and odd characters can break the template and cause unexpected behaviour. It can also cause invisible issues, where an issue isn't identified within the UI, but is visible on some email clients such as Outlook. It is essential to sanitise any text you copy over from a rich-text editor.

Such ways to sanitise your text include copying the text and pasting it into a plain text editor (such as Notepad on Windows, or TextEdit on Mac). At this point you can paste the unformatted version of your content into Taguchi. An example of how to do this is located below.
