Yes. If you keep a list of people who have opted out, you can upload it to Taguchi and mark the matching subscribers as unsubscribed. First decide whether the opt-out applies across your organisation or only to one subscriber list.

Choose	When to use it
Global unsubscribe flag	The subscriber should be globally unsubscribed across your organisation.
Unsubscribe flag	The subscriber should be unsubscribed from the particular list you are importing into.

An import cannot clear an existing unsubscribe status. A false or blank value does not resubscribe an existing subscriber. See resetting an unsubscription status for the separate reset process.

Prepare the unsubscribe values

Prepare the status column consistently:

• Use y for each subscriber you want to mark as unsubscribed.
• Blank values and n, no, false or 0 are treated as false, ignoring case.
• Other nonblank values are treated as true.

False values do not clear an existing unsubscribe.

In the examples below, y means that you want the unsubscribe applied. Use that value consistently for the people who have opted out. Taguchi records the time when it applies the status, so your spreadsheet does not need a date or timestamp.

Include an available subscriber identifier, such as Email, on every row. Check the destination list before importing.

Globally unsubscribe subscribers

Choose this option when the subscriber's opt-out should apply across your organisation. For example, use it for a customer who has asked to be globally unsubscribed, rather than removed from just one newsletter.

1. Open the destination list's import and select the file.
2. Check the File preview, then click Map columns.
3. Confirm Email and map the unsubscribe column to Global unsubscribe flag (is_unsubscribed), then click Accept.
4. Confirm or explicitly ignore all other columns.
5. Click Review import, check the mappings and reported issues, then click Start import.

For an existing subscriber, y sets the global unsubscribe if it was not already set. A false or blank value leaves an existing global unsubscribe in place.

Unsubscribe subscribers from one list

Choose this option when the opt-out applies to one list. For example, someone may want to stop receiving a weekly newsletter while remaining subscribed to another list.

The unsubscribe is applied to membership in the destination list, so open the correct list before uploading. This option does not change the subscriber's global unsubscribe status.

Follow the same File → Map columns → Review → Import workflow, but map the status column to Unsubscribe flag (is_list_unsubscribed). Check that you opened the list from which these subscribers should be unsubscribed.

A value such as y sets the list unsubscribe. A false or blank value does not clear an existing list unsubscribe.

After importing

After the import:

1. Review the labelled outcomes.
2. Download the error report if any rows were skipped, duplicated or rejected.
3. Check a sample subscriber's profile and list membership to confirm that the intended status was applied.
