Why has my service email recorded unsubscribes?
Why do service emails without an unsubscribe link still report unsubscribes?
If recipients mark the email as spam, we will action this as a global unsubscribe and this will be recorded against the email analytics. The unsubscribe will be listed as complaint in the unsubscribe event.
"Source: complaint" is not dependent on whether the email has an unsubscribe link or click tracking enabled. It is triggered when a recipient marks an email as spam directly from their mail client (for example, using the Gmail "Report Spam" or "Unsubscribe" option), and will be recorded as a global unsubscribe regardless of the email type.
